Website Basics for Scientists: How to create a website for your lab or for yourself

For Part I of the workshop (coming up end of March), Jeela Ongley from UH Media Production will give us a presentation on the basics of web platforms and hosting, as well as advice on design and how to convey information  efficiently.

For Part II of the workshop (end of April), we will host a hands-on workshop where we will literally sit and work on creating a website. There will be tech experts available for questions you may have!

  2. Public Outreach Events Committee: headed by Elisha Wood-Charlson, working on events like:
    • TEDx SOEST to share new results and your science with SOEST community
    • Cool science or sharing the “wonder” with the public, like Honolulu Night Market, Pecha Kucha
    • Donor-focused events
