Here at the SOESTblog, students and postdocs at the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at UH-Mānoa share stories about our lives as scientists!
By writing for the SOESTblog, we aim to improve our communication skills by practicing non-scientific writing. Many have testified that writing for the general public have resulted in the ability to envision the big picture of their research, which can lead to a more efficient process when writing manuscripts and proposals. Through this site, we also hope to enhance SOEST-wide collaborations and provide a resource for future SOEST graduate students.
In our latest blog post, Leah Shiruzu bridges old and new by applying genetic sequencing to the study of traditional sustainable aquaculture. Check it out!
